This is a network of special cells, the nerve cells which transmit or carry signals or impulses between different parts of the body. It is body's information gatherer, storage centre and control system. Its main job or task is to collect information about the body's condition, both outside and inside, external or internal. It then transfers this information to the brain. The brain then looks at the information and sends out messages or impulses to different parts of the body to take the necessary action to meet the body's needs.

Neuro relates to the nerves or nervous system.
Neuroblastomas are fast-growing but very rare cancers that develop from nerve cells. They usually occur in infants and children, often before a child is one year old. They start in nerve cells which remain from a baby's development in the womb.
Neutropaenia or Neutropenia (pronounced new tro pea nia) is a condition where there is a drop in the levels of neutrophils, a type of blood cell. The neutrophil count will gradually go back to normal levels over a period of a few days or weeks. Neutropaenia may be caused by treatment with anti-cancer drugs.

Neutropenic means there are low levels of neutrophils.
Neutrophil is a type of white blood cell which is very important in helping the body fight infection. Doctors will want to make sure that neutrophil levels have not fallen below normal levels (Neutropaenia), if anti-cancer drugs are being used, which may cause that. Neutrophils may be referred to as polymorphonuclear leukocytes or PMN.

Nitrosamines are chemicals which are thought to be carcinogenic. They use to cure meat, such as bacon, ham and salami.
Nodule is a small lump or growth.
Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) are drugs which reduce swelling, inflammation and high temperatures or fever and relief pain.
Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma or NHL is a cancer of the lymphatic system. It is a type of cancer of the blood that affects the white blood cells. The white blood cells are usually involved in protecting against infection. They are part of the body's natural defence mechanisms, the immune system.
This is a cancer of the lymphatic system, such as leukaemia or lymphoma or a cancer of the blood system. A tumour (either benign or cancerous) that has developed in body tissue or an organ is known as a solid tumour.
Normal, where everything is working right and is in its usual state or where it should be. The opposite is abnormal, where things are not working as they should or are not in their usual state or where it should be.
