Norfolk and Norwich Diagnostic Equipment
Funding given for specialist equipment to help detect leukaemia The Norfolk and Norwich Hospital was given £16,000 for special equipment to help detect leukaemia and £15,000 was made available for special nursing training and computer games and equipment for patients.

Oncology Outreach Nurse - Rosie Larkins - October 1994
A special community nurse funded by the appeal started to offer families treatment at home to spare children extra hospital visits.

Oncology Nurse James Paget Hospital NHS Trust - December 2002
Elly Bond, a new outreach nurse, working for the James Paget Hospital NHS Trust in Gorleston, was appointed to care for children with leukaemia and cancer with a grant from the Appeal. She is still working in this role, fully funded by the NHS after proving the value of her post, and the improved care for patients it provides.
